More Musky photos from last week, slow trolling with Summit To Stream Adventures.
Phil Smock caught this 4lb. 5oz. laker just south of the salt plant on the west side. He caught another smaller LT (about 3lb.) but threw him back! (a first for Phil - whose motto is 'if it's big enough to swim, it's big enough for him')
A charter with Summit to Stream Adventures produced these Waneta Lake Musky. 8 Fish total caught trolling Jake’s and Storm Kickin’ Minnows.
Here are some more Waneta Lake musky for you guys to check out. We ended up with seven fish in the boat, had nine on. All fish were caught on X-Raps, did a lot of different things to get them to hit. Steve D. (Toad) had a taste of his 1st musky, three times!
Here is Mark Houck with a nice laker caught while pulling copper above the Painted Rocks. He uses mostly Barracuda Reflecto spoons but also pulls twin minnows.
Another good catch for Fred Tucker. First is a 7.8 laker then a 4 3/4 brown just north of the salt plant. Then he does it again with a decent 4 1/2 lb. laker on an Alpena Diamond 80 ft. down over 120 ft. bottom just north of the salt plant.
Here is another nice largemouth.
The 'secret pond' by Watkins pays off again.
Here is Daryl and his cool Dad with 2 nice landlocked Salmon caught from the pier in Watkins with sawbellys under the bobber. Great job guys, and tasty too!
Mr. Wilson and Mr. Young with this delicious 7 lb. lake trout caught on Seneca. True teamwork gentlemen.
Here’s Bob Bernetti and friend George on a charter with Captain Mark Moskal-Summit to Stream Adventures with some nice brown trout caught while trolling Flashers with spoons and trout killers, producing 9 fish.
Gotta love a waxing moon. Boated 5 muskies Saturday, 3 Monday eve, and 6 Tuesday night; missed or had follows by several more on each day. All tigers, smallest fish was right around 30" but I did manage a bruiser estimated to be around 45". All fish were caught casting on plugs I build, X-raps, and 2 were taken with the fly rod (perch pattern similar to a Puglisi minnow).
Between boat trouble, weather, and traffic I did manage to put a few fish in the boat. The one is on a home made lure, (Virgil W. I told you I could catch one on it). I did break in a new musky hunter, Skip.
This is Ken Luepelt with a 4.9 lb. smallie taken above painted rocks on a crayfish 48 ft. down on the outside edge of the weeds. Sweet and fat!
Mark Houck is at it again with a brace of lakers pulling copper north of the salt plant about 110 ft. down, with a Reflecto spoon. 6.5 and 7.9 lbs. Not bad for the grill!
Daryls' dad with a feisty 23 in. 2.8 lb. landlocked salmon that inhaled a sawbelly so fast and deep off the pier in Watkins that Dad decided not to waste it with the hook being buried, so to the grill, eh!!!
Phil Smock and Barry Pappas caught these three beauties (two landlocked salmon and a lake trout - collectively weighing in at 9lbs) just north of the salt plant on the west side, Monday night.
Here's Phil Smock with a nice 4lb 10oz lake trout. Dave spotted the hit on the pole, Phil reeled it in, and Mike netted it! |
